Eucalyptus Mint Shampoo & Body Bar
Are you ready to make the switch to shampoo bars?!?! And I mean real soap, not the detergent bars (syndet bars aka synthetic detergent) touted as natural.
Detergents, even if gentle, will strip the lipids from your hair causing your scalp to overcompensate by overproducing an excess of natural oils to protect the hair and scalp. Many of these people will find that they have to wash their hair every day because by the end of the day, their hair is greasy! Many will begin developing dandruff, itchy scalp, or hair loss. Many of these detergents are so harsh, like sodium laureth sulfate, that they destroy the hair follicles.
But keep in mind, not all natural shampoo bars are created equal. I have a sister who was determined to help me create a great shampoo bar because she refused to used conventional shampoos again, but wasn't satisfied with other shampoo bars she's used in the past. I drew from wisdom of those who came before me, listened intently on my sister's experience, and expanded beyond that in order to find the right ratio of the right oils to create a SOLID solid shampoo bar. I have learned that you absolutely cannot mess with this recipe or you experience less than ideal results.
But lets talk about the shampoo bar detox. I cannot sugar coat the HARDNESS of detoxing from conventional hair products. You NEED to be prepared.
